Smart Kodi Remote
Support · iPhone and iPad
Smart Kodi Remote controls Kodi from your iPhone or iPad: it finds Kodi on your Wi‑Fi network, works like a touchpad with swipes and taps, lets you seek through a movie on a timeline, and browses your movies and TV shows with artwork, so you can start them on your TV.

Getting started
To let Smart Kodi Remote control Kodi:
- Make sure your Kodi device and your iPhone or iPad are connected to the same Wi‑Fi network.
- In Kodi, go to Settings › Services › Control.
- Turn on Allow remote control from applications on other systems.
- Leave Settings and, if needed, restart Kodi.
- Open Smart Kodi Remote. Your Kodi appears on the Kodi Devices screen within a few seconds; tap it to start.
The same steps, with screenshots, are under Help in the App’s side menu.
Kodi does not appear
- Allow Local Network access for the App in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network. Without it the App cannot see any device on your network.
- Check that the phone is on the same Wi‑Fi network as Kodi, not on mobile data or a guest network.
- Tap the refresh button on the Kodi Devices screen to scan again, or add Kodi by hand with the + button (its IP address is shown in Kodi under Settings › System information).
- The App connects to port 9090. If you changed the port in Kodi, add it under Scanned Ports in the side menu.
- Network Info in the side menu shows your network and the range of addresses the App scans.
Ads and purchases
The free version shows ads. Remove Ads in the side menu removes them with a one-time purchase; on a new device, tap Restore purchased there. In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and some US states, Privacy Settings in the side menu lets you change your consent choices at any time.
